Back in Haltwhistle, some of the images I took lent themselves to some form of illustration. The one on the left couldn’t be more simple; the coloured pencil filter and slight contrast adjustments. The right hand image has had a lot more work done to it; from two superimposed separate images of an approaching train at the same viewpoint. The larger front of train is subject to reduced opacity to allow the background appear through and the addition of an accented edges filter creates a sense of illustration to the picture.
