The Lakes

Most visited and something of a family tradition, the Lake district has proven to be a lasting influence on us all; its timeless and soothing qualities keep bringing us back to dear old Keswick where we can forget the vagaries of urban life and just relax. I never tire of trips to the bookstore, the charity shop, playing miniature golf and seeing off a bowl of goulash from the famous Dog & Gun. Perhaps most pleasant of all is the amount of cheery greetings you get from locals and tourists as you make your way round the sites. So, I present a few of my favourite images, mostly of Lake Derwentwater from my most recent visits.
